Summer came for the kids and so they have been eating ice cream every Friday.... Going outside for waterfun almost everyday. We had a talent show. Right now we are in the process of creating a summer book and memory box for the parents of everything they did that summer. The kids have been great all summer. Just a few more weeks until school starts again for them!!! (: Cant wait! Live life to the fullest ☮ ♥ ☺ ♪

Water Cycle

This week was about the Water Cycle. This project I had a few kids sponge paint the sun and the clouds. All the rest of the children used markers to make dots on the raindrops. It was a simple project and the kids loved it and had a lot of fun. For the lesson I brought in cotton balls for the kids. We pretended to use them as clouds. I took a bowl of water and had each kid one by one put the cotton ball into the water so that the cotton ball was saturated with water. When the cotton ball was filling with water I told the kids this is like the clouds filling up with rain. After the cotton ball was in the water for 10-20 seconds I told the kids to take the cotton ball out of the water and squeeze all the water out of the cotton ball into the bowl. Then I told them that when the clouds can't hold anymore water in them they have to rain and that's why the cotton ball was dripping water out of it. The kids had more fun playing in the water that was left on the table but it was a simple idea to show the kids how the water cycle work. I work with 2-3 year old's and that project they had a blast with. Live life to the fullest ☮ ♥ ☺ ♪

Easter Project

This is the Easter board I did. I really didn't have the kids do anything so I really didn't like it. But everyone at work loved it. (: Live life to the fullest ☮ ♥ ☺ ♪

Sea Animals

March 27th kids project. The theme of that week was sea animals. I had the kids paint with their hands the blue ocean part of the board then sprinkled glitter all over it to give it the effect of the water. Then I had a few of them paint each sea animal. Simple but the kids enjoyed painting a lot! Live life to the fullest ☮ ♥ ☺ ♪

Week Project (:

Last week's science projects theme was Presidents Week.... So I printed a star for each kid in my classroom. Then I used bingo dabbers or you could use Do A Dot markers to put the dots all over them. Then lastly let them put star stickers on their stars wherever they wanted to. It came out really nice. I hope you enjoy my artwork I did with the kids (:

File Folder games for Preschoolers

Since I work with a Daycare Center I'm always thinking of ideas to help the kids learn what they should know, like colors, numbers, shapes, and the alphabet. And instead of lecturing them on the letters or going through flashcards which gets very boring after a while, I created these cool games called File folder games which are a fun way to learn numbers, colors, shapes and letters. While you have table toys you could put these fun and create games on the table. I created three different games. One was to teach the children about patterns. The one teaching about patterns is the Butterfly File Folder game. The game consists of different butterflies that have different styles, patterns and colors and it helps the child distinguish and decipher the butterflies because of each unique pattern. I found the printable for these butterflies at this Preschool website.

Supplies that you need to create the File Folder game:
-File Folder
-Printable (you need to make 2 copies)
-Laminator (not necessary, I used tape since I don't own a laminator)
-Velcro strips

Then assemble the File folder game together and your kids can use this to help learn different patterns. It also would help with fine motor skills.

Next File folder game is Shapes File Folder game. This one is helps the child learn the different shapes and also colors since they would have to find the same shape with the same color. I'm not sure where I found the printable for these when I find it I'll be sure to share it with you guys.

Same materials necessary for the Butterfly File Folder game. And the last file folder game I created was Paintbrush File Folder game and this game helps the child recognize and learn the different colors. And this file Folder game I got from a woman that Homeschools.

But I hope you enjoy these games and make some of your own. There are many different games you can create even for older kids like addition, subtraction, anything that will help your child learn. I'll post more photos of ones that I am going to make in the future once they are finished. Thanks for looking and hope you have a great day.

Kids projects

I work at a Daycare Center and this is a project that I made at work with the kids that I work with. The theme that week was pollution and so I painted all the kids hands and pasted them around the earth which as you can see has a recycle sign. And the quote that is on top says "Lets make a difference every hand helps." Since we had hands all around and it symbolizes us cleaning up the earth by recycling I hope you enjoy.
