Fourth of July Jello

This recipe is Simple and festive for the 4th of July celebration.

SERVINGS: 6-8
TIME: Prep: 15 min. + chilling

Ingredients:

• 1 package (3 ounces) berry blue gelatin
• 2 cups boiling water, divided
• 1/2 cup cold water, divided
• 1 package (3 ounces) strawberry gelatin
• 1 can (15 ounces) pear halves, drained and cubed

Directions:

In a large bowl, dissolve the berry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1/4 cup cold water. Pour into an ungreased 9-in. x 5-in. loaf pan. Refrigerate until firm. Repeat with strawberry gelatin and remaining boiling and cold water.
When gelatin is set, cut into cubes. Just before serving, gently combine gelatin cubes and pears in a large glass bowl or individual dishes. Yield: 6-8 servings.

A walk in the Park

This weekend I spent a couple hours at this beautiful local park and got great pictures. At the park there was a dock that you could walk out. On better days you could rent a canoe. The scenery was beautiful! While on the docks we got great pictures of the ducks out on the water as well as a bunch of swans. I thought I would share these beautiful environmental pictures!

Green Tip of the Day

One way on becoming greener and making an effort to stop global warming is to turn the lights off. In turning the lights off you are conserving energy. If you do keep the lights on maybe switch to a CFL bulb so you wont be wasting as much energy in keeping that light on. I have many CFL bulbs in my house. These save a lot of money on the electricity bills.

Vegetable Garden

Tomato plant there is 4 of them

This is the peppers that need a lot more growing. I also planted 4 of them

And this is the eggplant 4 of them as well.

Ok so here are the photos of the vegetable garden! There is more vegetables and I will post those later on. So far I took pictures of the tomatoes, eggplant and peppers! I hope I get more pictures of the other vegetables I planted.
