Green Tip of the Day
Ever heard of making your own laundry detergent. This recipe I found online and I have used it before. I actually find the smell very attractive so it still has a scent to it and it works great on clothes.
Ingredients you'll need:
-1/3 Fels Naptha soap- This soap was pretty hard to find. You will have to look around to find this kind of soap because its not sold at all stores.
-1/2 cup Arm and Hammer Washing soda- This is NOT baking soda this is stuff you use to wash clothes with. You would be able to find this in the detergent aisle.
-1/2 cup Borax- This also should be found in the detergent aisle.
-2 gallon size bucket
*Can add 10-15 drops of essential oils if you want a different smells
The hardest thing of the recipe is finding the Fels Naptha soap so you will definately have to look around for that. Ok so now its making the soap part.
Directions:
First you will get the Fels Naptha soap and take a saucepan and heat the soap up in the saucepan. This soap smells really good so it will make your whole house smell amazing! Add 6 cups of water and heat it until soap melts. Add the washing soda and the Borax and stir until it is dissolved. Remove from the heat. Pour 4 cups of hot water into bucket. Now add your soap mixture. Next add 1 gallon of water plus 6 cups of water and stir. Leave for 24 hours until it gels together.
*Use 1/2 cup per load

So I added a couple things more to my stockpile that I've been trying to acquire. Today I received a free sample of Alpo dog food prime cuts as well as UP2U gum! Also this weekend I went to RiteAid and found this pretty good deal of Crest for Me toothpaste which was on sale in the add listed as $2.99 with $1.50 UP Reward. UP Rewards you can use on a future purchase. On top of the UP Reward I also had a $1.00 off coupon which made the final cost of the toothpaste $.49. Usually this toothpaste is $4.99 so I saved a lot of money! I hope you can find a lot of good deals like this as well. Thank you everyone. Have a nice day! :]

Turn the water off when you brush your teeth. It wastes less water if you turn the water off when your brushing your teeth. It will also save you money on your water bill since your not running the water.

Blue Hydrangea. For some reason the Hydrangea are changing colors they went from purple/pink colored to blue and purple. Very pretty still |
Figs in the fig tree. The fig tree is blooming with more and more figs! |
Look at how many grew since the last time I posted pictures! |
They just keep getting bigger. They are getting enormous! |
Impatience flowers! |
This is a money tree seed. Since it is almost ready it changed colors from the bright color to this silver color. |
They are all almost ready the seeds inside are visible and you can see how they are almost ready to harvest |
This is the pepper plant. The peppers didn't really grow that much since the last time I posted a picture |
Tomatoes! There are a few tomatoes that you can visibly see. These were the only bunch I could visibly see since the other tomatoes were hidden by the leaves. |
Zucchini's! I only saw about two zucchini's growing. The zucchini plants are growing so big and the leaves are so big that I couldn't see where the zucchini were! |
I will keep posting pictures of everything! Especially the vegetables. It's amazing to see things grow when you just had a little plant before. The miracles of life. Hope everyone enjoys their day!
